GALE GOFF
principal architect

Gale Goff has worked for over 35 years developing her style of residential architecture that reflects a sense of place, light and shadow, the blurring of indoors to outdoors and addressing vernacular environmental conditions. 

Gale attended Skidmore College, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design Department of Architecture in 1985 and was registered in Massachusetts in 1989. After positions at Providence firms, she was a design associate for 20 years at Estes/Twombly Architects in Newport, RI. She has both designed and collaborated on many award winning and published projects during her career and has received awards from Custom Home, Rhode Island Monthly, RIAIA, Renaissance and a Doris Duke Historic Preservation Award. Her work has been featured in two architectural books, Houzz website features,  Design New England, New England Home, Fine Homebuilding, This Old House, Custom Home, and numerous regional publications.


L. BARRETT BORDEN
designer

With her diverse education and experience, Barrett’s designs generate a multi-scale relationship between the client and their surrounding environment. She focuses on the connection of conceptual design and honest craftsmanship. Raised in Westport, she is familiar and confident in selecting native building materials and sensitive to merging modern design with local historic buildings. Barrett studied Architecture and Environmental Design at the Rhode Island School of Design and Montana State University, graduating from MSU Architecture School in 2013 with honors and design awards. She has worked with several residential architecture firms and has been with Gale Goff since 2016. 


PETE LANDIS
designer

Pete Landis earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture at Cornell University and his master's degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute. He has worked on many architectural scales and styles--from small pre-war apartments in New York City to larger homes in the Hamptons to an office space for an advertising agency in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Enjoying collaborating across disciplines to achieve designs that exceed clients' expectations, Pete has worked with furniture designers, cabinet makers, window display fabricators and a prominent kitchen systems company. Pete joined Gale Goff Architect in 2020. He spends his free time enjoying the outdoors, making art and cooking with his family.


JAMESON RAY
designer

A graduate from the University of Arizona, Jameson started her career as a stylist and event planner in California. Guided by a connection to her surroundings she returned to school earning a degree in Interior Design.  Jameson spent five years working for a full service new home builder focusing on coastal construction.  Jameson enjoys clean lines, the use of natural materials and collaborating with local artisans to create a personalized home for her clients.
